Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Tooltip with text that appears on hover over an element. It will be centered to an anchor element specified in the 'for' attribute, or, if that doesn't exist, centered to the parent node containing it.

Usage

Add wired-tooltip to your project:

npm i wired-tooltip

Import wired-tooltip definition into your HTML page:

<script type="module" src="wired-tooltip/wired-tooltip.js"></script>

Or into your module script:

import { WiredTooltip } from "wired-tooltip"

Use it in your web page:

Properties

for - Id of the element the tooltip is for. Optional.

position - String value: left/right/top/bottom. Default is bottom.

text - Text in the tooltip.

Custom CSS Variables

--wired-tooltip-border-color Border color of the tooltip. Default is currentColor.

--wired-tooltip-background Background color of the tooltip.
