Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

yesterday at school my computer started acting strange, randomly locking up every 5 minutes. this machine is 9 years old and i know it is starting to die. if i ever try to navigate to the internet at all, windows will lock up. i posted about it on a technical support forum and asked for suggestions. i told the service representative to "just send me a new machine". he did, but instead of sending me a new machine with windows 7 installed, he sent me a computer with windows 7 already installed and said to save my files, and uninstall everything. i told him again that i want a new pc and that i am giving him the registration code so that i can install windows 7 on a new pc.

then i checked my old windows 7 disk (on the original disk that had a full backup of my files and settings) and noticed that there was a folder called 'c:\users\j4m4lxt\appdata\local\microsoft\windows\upgrade\samples' with a bunch of different.pfx and.p12 files, etc. so, i checked them out to see if i could see if these were legit or not and found that one of the files was for the free windows 7 upgrade. i saved it as a.zip file and extracted it and noticed it had a bunch of files and folders, files with a.bak.pfx extension, etc. how, then, did i get this free windows 7 upgrade?

a few months ago, i got a new computer. i installed my files from my old computer and installed windows 7 on it. it is 32 bit and i had no problems. i knew that i had done this because i saved all of my files and settings and i can see most of the files from my old computer. however, i do not see my old windows 7 settings. the first thing i did was unzip the.zip file and noticed that there was a folder called 'c:\users\j4m4lxt\appdata\local\microsoft\windows\upgrade\samples' with a bunch of different.pfx and.p12 files, etc. so, i checked them out to see if i could see if these were legit or not and found that one of the files was for the free windows 7 upgrade. i saved it as a.zip file and extracted it and noticed it had a bunch of files and folders, files with a.bak.pfx extension, etc. how, then, did i get this free windows 7 upgrade? 84d34552a1
