Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Access devices over MTP

Introduction

On some operating systems (e.g. macOS) devices like modern Android phones do not mount as disk drives without using external software, like Android File Transfer or OSXFUSE. webmtp allows Chromium-based browsers (via WebUSB), Node.js and Electron apps to read files from devices over MTP without requiring additional software or drivers.

Note: If you already have a USBDevice object returned from navigator.usb.requestDevices() or navigator.usb.getDevices(), you can pass that in as a third parameter to the constructor, e.g. const mtp = new Mtp(vendorId, productId, usbDevice) or even const mtp = new Mtp(null, null, usbDevice). webmtp will use that USBDevice instead.
