Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

filesystem routes for mpa

  • Automatically set redirect rules for development. No more need to visit https://localhost/src/pages/nested/nested/index.html. Just visit http://localhost/nested/nested as you do in SPA project.
  • Out of box MPA auto settings when building. No need to set rollup build input options.
  • All-in-one template mode support. All pages can use one template with few settings.

Install

npm i -D vite-plugin-filesystem-multi-pages or use yarn/pnpm

Usage

import fmp from 'vite-plugin-filesystem-multi-pages';

export default defineConfig({
    plugins: [fmp()],
});

Options

// the directory to scan, valid routes will be
// reflected to browser location.
// default: 'src/pages'
dir: Pathlike
// the entry html name of each page.
// default: 'index.html'
templateName: string
// if publicTemplateSrc !== '', all-in-one template mode will be used
publicTemplateSrc: string
// only works in all-in-one template mode
// define which file to scan, if the file be detected, the folder will be added into routes
// default: main.ts
scanFileName: string
// only works in all-in-one template mode
// define variables which will replace the {{ xxx }} things in the public template
replace: Record<string, string | ((filePath:string) => string)>
// Normally, vite will place dist files in something like /dist/src/pages/...
// If you want to put them at other dir, you can set this option.
publicPath: string

As an example, if you have a directory named src/pages:

  • src/pages
    • index.html
    • nested
      • index.html
      • foo
        • index.html
    • bar
      • index.html

Available routes are ['', '/nested', '/nested/foo', '/bar'].

You can use window.location.href to change the route.

All-in-one template mode

If you have a directory named src/pages:

  • index.html (public template)
  • src/pages
    • main.ts
    • nested
      • main.ts
      • foo
        • main.ts
    • bar
      • main.ts

Set publicTemplateSrc to 'path.resolve(__dirname, 'index.html')'.

Set scanFileName to main.ts

In index.html, you can use {{ xxx }} to set the variables which will be replaced by replace.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
    <head>
        <meta charset="UTF-8" />
        <link rel="icon" type="image/svg+xml" href="/favicon.svg" />
        <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />
        <title>{{title}}</title>
    </head>
    <body>
        <div id="app"></div>
        <script type="module" src="{{src}}/main.ts"></script>
    </body>
</html>

Set replace:

replace: {
  title: 'My title',
  src: (path) => path
}
