Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

vile-jshint

A Vile plugin for identifying common style and maintainability issues in your JavaScript code (via JSHint).

NOTICE

This project is not actively maintained. If you want to help maintain the project, or if you have a better alternative to switch to, please open an issue and ask!

Installation

npm i -D vile vile-jshint

Config

Plugin config goes in your .vile.yml:

jshint:
  config: filepath or object
  ignore: filepath or array

Defaults

If no config path is specified, .jshintrc will be used.

Custom Paths

You can specify custom paths for your .jshintignore and .jshintrc files:

jshint:
  config: some/other/.jshintrc
  ignore: some/other/.jshintignore

You can also set ignore/allow behaviour via allow and ignore lists.

jshint:
  allow:
    - src
  ignore:
    - /lib

Inline Config Example

You can also write config inline.

jshint:
  config:
    asi: true
    globals:
      Promise: true
