Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Install

npm install -g view-todo

The above installs view-todo command globally.

todo.conf.yml

Set up the config file $HOME/.todo.conf.yml like the following:

title: ledgerman
path: /Users/kt3k/tmp/ledgerman
note: A Cli tool for creating a general ledger from the journal.

Then you can run todo viewer server with the command:

view-todo

The above starts the server at http://localhost:3000/site/

Example

$ view-todo
Using the config file: /Users/kt3k/.todo.conf.yml
Server running at: http://localhost:3000/site

You can access http://localhost:3000/site and will see something like:

ss0 ss1 ss2

Init config file

view-todo init

The above command touches $HOME/.todo.conf.yml.

Edit config file

view-todo edit

The above command opens $HOME/.todo.conf.yml with your $EDITOR.
