Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A CLI application to find the meaning of words/slangs from the urban dictionary.

Installation

$ npm install -g urbanary-cli

Usage

$ urbanary --help
Usage: urbanary <command> [options]

Options:
  -h, --help             display help for command

Commands:
  find [options] <word>  find meaning of a word or abbreviation or slang
  help [command]         display help for command

Examples

$ urbanary find lol # find meaning of lol
$ urbanary find -e lol # find meaning of lol with an example sentence
$ urbanary find -e -c 5 lol # find meaning of lol with up to 5 definitions and example sentences

Options

-e or --example # to get an example sentence
-c [amount] or --count [amount] # to get up to [amount] definitions and example sentences, max = 10
