Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Update or add the current year to a range of years in a string.

Install

Install with npm:

$ npm i update-year --save

Usage

(Useful for updating copyright statements, etc.)

Pass a year, or a range of years (e.g. 1999-2012), and the current year will be appended or the range will be updated with the current year, using the correct syntax.

Examples

year('2016'); //=> '2016'
year('2015'); //=> '2015-2016'
year('2012'); //=> '2012, 2016'
year('2013'); //=> '2013, 2016'
year('2014'); //=> '2014, 2016'
year('2013, 2015'); //=> '2013, 2015-2016'
