Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Task CLI

A task manager CLI built with TypeScript, supporting the following features:

  • Add a new task to the list
  • List all tasks
  • Update the title of a task
  • Delete a task from the list
  • Mark a task as in progress
  • Mark a task as done
  • Read and write tasks to a JSON file

Run

To run the CLI, simply execute the following command in the terminal:

pnpm dlx tsk-mgr

Usage

Help

Usage: tsk-mgr [options] [command]

A Task Management CLI

Options:
  -h, --help                         display help for command

Commands:
  add <title> [description]          Add a new task to the list
  list [status]                      List all tasks
  update <id> [title] [description]  Update the title of a task
  delete <id>                        Delete a task from the list
  mark-in-progress <id>              Mark a task as in progress
  mark-done <id>                     Mark a task as done
  help [command]                     display help for command

Run locally

  1. Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/saadfrhan/tsk-mgr
  1. Install the dependencies:
pnpm install
  1. Link the package:
pnpm --global link
  1. Run the calculator:
tsk-mgr
