Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Share your files with people using just the terminal

Share your files with people using just the terminal

  Note: Uploaded files will be available for 1 day only

  Usage
    $ transfer-now <command> <options>

  Options
    --targetDir, -t       The directory where you want to save the file (only available when using 'transfer-now get')
    --targetFilename, -n  The filename by which you want to save the file. Original file extension is preserved (only available when using 'transfer-now get')
    --silent, -s          Don't produce any output

  Commands
    put <input>           Upload a file. Example: transfer-now put ./README.md
    get <unique_name>     Download a file. Example: transfer-now get daily_tomato_orangutan
    list                  List all the files uploaded by you. Example: transfer-now list
    link <unique_name>    Generate a one-time download link for a file. Example: transfer-now link daily_tomato_orangutan

  Short Commands
    ls                    Short for 'list'. Example: transfer-now ls
  Examples
    $ transfer-now put ./README.md
    $ transfer-now put ./README.md --silent
    $ transfer-now get daily_tomato_orangutan -t ./tmp -n tomato

Installation

Install with npm

$ npm install -g transfer-now

Install with Yarn

$ yarn global add transfer-now

Run with npm without installing

$ npx transfer-now

eg.

$ npx transfer-now put README.md

Upload a file

Note: Uploaded files will be available for 1 day only

$ transfer-now put {FILE_PATH}

eg.

$ transfer-now put grocery.txt
$ transfer-now put ./README.md
$ transfer-now put /User/myname/Desktop/smile.jpg

Download a file

$ transfer-now get {UNIQUE_NAME}

eg.

$ transfer-now get skilled_scarlet_cockroach
$ transfer-now get skilled_scarlet_cockroach -t ./tmp
$ transfer-now get skilled_scarlet_cockroach -t /User/myname/Desktop/
$ transfer-now get skilled_scarlet_cockroach -n example

Use the flag --targetDir, -t if you want to save the file to a different location.
