Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

  npm install tisec --save
  1. Importar TisecModule en app.module
  import { NgModule } from '@angular/core';
  import { TisecModule } from 'tisec';

  @NgModule({
      imports: [
        TisecModule
      ],
      bootstrap: [AppComponent]
  })
  export class AppModule {
  }
  .active {
    border-left: 4px solid $secondary;
    background-color: $light;
  }

Funcionamiento en un loop

  <ul tcMenu>
    <li *ngFor="let section of sections" [tcMenuItem]="section.id">{{section.title}}</li>
  </ul>
  <div tcSection>
    <div *ngFor="let section of sections" [tcSectionItem]="section.id">
      ....
      <content-of-section><content-of-section>
      ...
    </div>
  </div>

Funcionamiento en estático

  <ul tcMenu>
    <li tcMenuItem="personas">Personas Sospechosas</li>
  </ul>
  <div tcSection>
    <div tcSectionItem="personas">
      <h4>Suspect People</h4>
      <p>Ted Bundy</p>
      <p>Andrei Chikatilo</p>
      <p>Jeffrey Dahmer</p>
      <p>Albert Fish</p>
      <p>Jack the Ripper</p>
    </div>
  </div>

English

What is TiSec?

This library is intended to connect a list of items, which we could call "titles", with another list of elements, which we could call "content". Each content corresponds to a title, for example: If we have an item called 'Invoices' in the "titles" part, when doing clic on that item, the corresponding section of 'Invoices' will be shown in the "content". In turn, if we are moving through the "content", the "title" corresponding to that section will be highlighted.

Installation and configuration

  1. Open bash in angular project and excute:
  npm install tisec --save
  1. Import TisecModule into app.module
  import { NgModule } from '@angular/core';
  import { TisecModule } from 'tisec';

  @NgModule({
      imports: [
        TisecModule
      ],
      bootstrap: [AppComponent]
  })
  export class AppModule {
  }
  1. Add in CSS .active class and customize it.
  .active {
    border-left: 4px solid $secondary;
    background-color: $light;
  }

Work in loop

  1. Configure Menu part
  • Add tcMenu directive to ul (or any other mark in which we have established it).
  • Add tcMenuItem directive to sub element, li in this case. This directive in turn receives a parameter that should serve as an identifier, such as the position of the array, an ID, etc.
  <ul tcMenu>
    <li *ngFor="let section of sections" [tcMenuItem]="section.id">{{section.title}}</li>
  </ul>
  1. Configure content part
  • Add tcSection directive to container in which content is located.
  • Add tcSectionItem directive to child. Both the menu identifier and the content identifier must have the same value.
  <div tcSection>
    <div *ngFor="let section of sections" [tcSectionItem]="section.id">
      ....
      <content-of-section><content-of-section>
      ...
    </div>
  </div>

Work in static

  1. Configure Menu part
  • Perhaps in this case the functioning will be clearer; we mark a "title" element with tcMenuItem directive and assign it people value.
  <ul tcMenu>
    <li tcMenuItem="people">Personas Sospechosas</li>
  </ul>
  1. Configure content part
  • Identify the part of the content that includes people. Mark with tcSectionItem directive and assign the same value as previous one.
  • Now both elements are linked.
  <div tcSection>
    <div tcSectionItem="people">
      <h4>Suspect People</h4>
      <p>Ted Bundy</p>
      <p>Andrei Chikatilo</p>
      <p>Jeffrey Dahmer</p>
      <p>Albert Fish</p>
      <p>Jack the Ripper</p>
    </div>
  </div>
