What is Sysvol

SysVol offers a cross platform way to manage volume settings of a system.

Installation

SysVol is available on npm. To install it, type:

$ npm install sysvol

Usage

Import the library in your code, and then pick one of the methods you liked to use - either getVolume or setVolume:

// es6
var { getVolume, setVolume } = require('sysvol');  

getVolume().then((currentVolume) => {
	console.log(currentVolume); // 75
});

setVolume(100).then(() => {
	// system volume is set
});

// es5
var sysvol = require('sysvol');  

sysvol.getVolume().then((currentVolume) => {
	console.log(currentVolume); // 75
});

sysvol.setVolume(100).then(() => {
	// system volume is set
});

Tests

Run tests for the platform you are currently on:

npm run test
