Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

NPM NPM

New feature (bug fix of space remover)

  • Now whitelist and blacklist acepct anymatch!
  • You can use list and directory at the same time or only a directory!
  • Can pass multiple directory using array.
  • Can pass extension of files you need find call of id
  • If you need create static svg, from a need of given directory. Now you can pass the directory, and the module will find svg is called in it. Finally will create a svg file. Have only itens is used in this directory.

Thanks for npm~lucasmreis

To create a new file from another, using call's found in a directory and whitelist

If is whitelist program will use list (of anymatch) to select id's. And will search call's in directories, using the rest of id's found in svg. Finally create a big whitelist to extract! Else is a blacklist will use list (of anymatch) to remove id's. And will search id's is not called in directories, using the of rest id's found in svg. Finally create a big blacklist to extract! You don't need pass a list if pass a directory. The var list accept any values of anymath module Example:

const { extractor } = require('svg-extractor')

let svg = fs.readFileSync(`big-file.svg`, 'utf8');
let directory = [ './test/', './abc/def' ];
let list = [ 'abc', 'a*', '\\d+', functionA ]

let svge = extractor({
  svg: svg,
  list: list,
  directory: directory,
  extension: ['html', 'js', 'json'], // (optional)
  whitelist: true // (optional default true)
});

To only return the itens in list

Example:

let svge = extractor({
  svg: ...ram of svg file...,
  list: ['first', 'second', 'a*', '\\d+', functionA],
  whitelist: true // (optional default true)
});

To not return the itens in list

Example:

let svge = extractor({
  ... same as the previous example ...
  whitelist: false
});

To create a new file from another

Example:

let svg = fs.readFileSync(`big-file.svg`, 'utf8');
let svge = extractor(...);
fs.writeFileSync(`small-file.svg`, svge);
