Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

this tool will help you to operate your localStorage simply

usage

install

npm i storage-kit

import

import StorageKit from "storage-kit";

before you start, you should to create a instance like:

const st = new StorageKit();

this instance provide some functions for you

functions

add

this function could add an/some item(s);

st.add(storageObject);

storageObject:

  • type: object or array
    • object: you can add one item in one time, it should be : {key:value}
    • array: you can add some items in currently, it should be : [ {key:value} , {key,value} ]

Example:

st.add({ mode: "0" }); // when storageObject is an Object
st.add([{ one: "1" }, { two: "2" }, { three: "3" }]); /// when storageObject is an array

sometimes you may want to save a data as object or array:

st.add({
  user: {
    name: "zaima",
    age: 23,
    pants: "unknow",
    love: "girls who wears short skrit and silk socks",
  },
});

you can write this directly, you needn't convert it from Object to string, tool will help you convert it from Object to string as json automatically

get

this function could get what you want by key

st.get(key);

Example:

st.get("two"); // 2

Did you remenber that we had add a data of string as json just now? now you can get it directly. also tools can convert it automatically

const user = st.get("user");
consle.log(typeof user); // Object

clear

To clear all of items or clear it by the key

str.clear(key?)

if key is undefined, it will delete all of items

Example:

st.clear("one"); // the item with key was one has been deleted
st.clear(); // all done

tip: if you want to update items, you can use add to update it

Example:

st.get("two"); // now the value is 2
st.add({ two: 9 }); // now the value is 9
