Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Installation Install using the NodeRED palette manager smithtek-node-red-remot3

Usage

The remoteit nodes allow you to connect your pass-port node red instance to the remote3.it service. From the flow editor you can configure and deploy HTTP, or SSH services. To use the service you must have a www.remot3.it account. It allows you to effortlessly setup secure access to your node red so you can configure from anywhere in the world.

Settings / Register Device

You must have a valid account with remot3.it. /using your account username email and password you can register your node red to the remote service. You must be connected to the internet for the device to connect and register. properties are as follows: If using this node on non Smithtek devices you must also install remoteit sudo apt install remoteit

  • Email
  • Password
  • Device Name
  • select service
  • Service Name
  • Service Port

User Email

Email address you have with your remot3.it account.string

User Password

The password you have with your remot3.it account. string

When you enter the above the node will work for a short while trying to connect to the service. When it is connected to the service you will be able to add and register your device.

Device name

Add a name to your device. It will automatically add "passport" to your chosen name. Example joeblogs will result in "passport_joeblogs.string

Select Service

From the dropdown box, add a service, currently only HTTP and SSH is available.

Service Name

Name your service. string

Service port

Select a port number for your added service. Make sure it follows your system rules with regards to ports available. integer

Remove service

This will remove the added service from your node red and your remot3.it webservice. Warning, this cannot be undone
