smangler
Generate variants of a word following different strategies that are commonly used in order to create a password. This project does not aims to produce an exaustive output but a set of probable values instead. Some of the strategies used to generate are: capitalization, upper case, camel case and leet speaking.
Installation
npm install -g smangler
Usage
$ smangler -h
Usage: smangler [options]
Options:
-h, --help Show this help message and exit.
-v, --version Show the version and exit.
-w, --words [string] One or multiple words comma separated
-m, --min [number] Minimum length (default: 0)
-M, --max [number] Max length (default: 80)
$ smangler -w password
password

$ smangler -w password | wc -l
64360
If the -w
option is not provided, the program will read from the standard input.
$ cat interesting_words.txt | smangler
It can also be used an imported library:
