Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

sm-parsers

This package provides frame parsers for MP3 and AAC audio. They are used in StreamMachine for parsing incoming audio sources.

How to Use

Both parsers take an IO stream in and emit frame events for each audio frame. Events are also emitted for header, id3v1, id3v2 and debug.

Example:

    fs = require "fs"
    Parser = (require "sm-parsers").MP3

    mp3 = fs.createReadStream("./mymp3.mp3")

    p = new Parser

    p.on "frame", (frame,header) ->
      # do something...

    mp3.pipe(p)
