Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

SecretStash

SecretStash is an NPM package that provides a secure way to store and manage your keys, tokens, and passwords. This package acts like a hidden compartment where you can stash your digital valuables with peace of mind, knowing that they are kept safe and sound.

Installation

You can install SecretStash using npm. Open your terminal and run the following command:

npm install secretstash

Usage

SecretStash comes with a command-line interface that provides a simple and easy way to interact with the package. Here is the basic usage format:

Options

  • -v, --version - Shows the current version of the SecretStash package.
  • -e, --envirnoment <value> - Allows you to specify the environment variable to be used to fetch environment values.
  • -s, --slug <value> - Allows you to specify a slug to access the environment values.
  • -h, --help - Displays the help information for the command.

Example

To use SecretStash with a specific environment variable and slug, run the following command:

npx secretstash -e <YOUR_ENVIRNOMENT> -s <YOUR_SLUG> <YOUR_COMMAND>

This command sets the environment variable to <YOUR_ENVIRNOMENT> and the slug to <YOUR_SLUG> to access environment values, and then runs the command.
