Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

A collection of command line scripts for executing common git commands on Atlassian Bamboo

##Installation

Install as a global package to call git-bamboo from any location.

This git-bamboo command executes bash scripts which require the git command and ssh.

We recommend using CYGWIN and installing the following:

  • in devel : git-completion, git-gui and gitk
  • in net : openssh

##Usage

From the command line

The git-bamboo command accepts one argument - the name of the bash script to be executed.

git-bamboo Git-clone

Each bash script uses Atlassian Bamboo build variables. These variables can be set manually if calling the script outside of Atlassian Bamboo or if you want to override the variable. For example, to override the build repository:

set bamboo_planRepository_repositoryUrl="[email protected]:Cellarise/script-git-bamboo.git"
git-bamboo Git-clone

#Scripts

##Git-clone

Clone the first repository linked to the bamboo build plan. Clone into folder Git.

git clone "$bamboo_planRepository_repositoryUrl" Git
exit

##Git-release-version

Clone the first repository linked to the bamboo build plan. Clone into folder Git. Then create a new branch to track the change and tag it with the Atlassian Bamboo Jira version. Finally merge the release branch into the production branch.

git clone "$bamboo_planRepository_repositoryUrl" Git
cd Git
git checkout master
git checkout -b "release/$bamboo_jira_version"
git tag -a "v$bamboo_jira_version" -m "Release v$bamboo_jira_version"
git push origin "release/$bamboo_jira_version" --tags
git checkout production
git merge "release/$bamboo_jira_version"
git tag -a "v$bamboo_jira_version" -m "Release v$bamboo_jira_version" production
git push origin production --tags
exit

##Github-clone

Clone repository from github using the Atlassian Bamboo Jira project name. Clone into folder Build.

git clone [email protected]:"$bamboo_jira_projectName".git Build
exit

##Github-release-version

Stage all changes, commit, and push to the master branch. Then create a new branch to track the change and tag it with the Atlassian Bamboo Jira version.

git rm . -r --cached
git add .
git status
git commit -m "Deploy release $bamboo_jira_version"
git push origin master
git checkout -b "release/$bamboo_jira_version"
git tag -a "v$bamboo_jira_version" -m "Release v$bamboo_jira_version"
git push -u origin "release/$bamboo_jira_version" --tags
exit
