Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

About The Project

You can generate random numbers within 0 and 1, but you always need more. So, here is a simple package to generate random numbers as per your need. Currently the package is in building stage, I will add more functionality as time goes. Others are requested to contribute as well.

Prerequisites

You need to have node install to start.

Installation

  1. Install NPM package
    npm install rnukt
  2. Install NPM package globally
    npm install rnukt -g
  3. Install NPM package with specific version
    npm install rnukt@1

Usage

Generate a random number from 0 to 1 with this command

const rnukt = require('rnnukt');
console.log(rnukt.random);

Generate a random positive integer from 0 to N with this command

const rnukt = require('rnnukt');
console.log(rnukt.randomN(56)); // this will generate a random integer between 0 and 55

Generate a random positive integer from M to N with this command

const rnukt = require('rnnukt');
console.log(rnukt.randomMN(4, 67)); // this will generate a random integer between 4 and 66

Give a random element from a collection of elements with this command

const rnukt = require('rnnukt');
console.log(rnukt.randomFromArr(1, 4, 54, 857, 23, 23, 32, 2, 6789, "gh", "fg", null));
