Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

rn-splash-util-tool

Easily generate splash/launch images for both iOS and Android with a single command. This tool creates all the required image sizes and automatically generates the Android launch_screen.xml file. Save time and simplify your splash screen setup for React Native apps with this quick and easy utility.

Installation

Install as global dependency

npm install -g rn-splash-util-tool

Usage

  1. Navigate to your React Native project folder in the terminal.
  2. Run the following command:
splash-gen
  1. When prompted, enter the path to your splash image:
? Please enter a valid splash image path here:-  /Users/admin/Downloads/betterthanbefore.jpeg

Note: The recommended image size for optimal fitting across all devices is 810 × 1440 pixels.

Output

The tool will generate all splash images in the appropriate locations within your project structure:
