Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Rebel

Rebel is a code generator for PHP and JavaScript code written in Node JS.

Installation

Rebel can be installed via npm, that means you have to install Node JS which comes with npm, and then via npm install rebel.

$ npm install rebel -g

Usage

Generating files with Rebel is easy, in order to do so, you have to be at the root of your project and issue a command to generate a file.

# Change directory into your project
$ cd my-project

# Generate a JS Handler
$ rebel generate javascript handler MyHandler

The command above $ rebel generate javascript handler MyHandler will generate a handler in my-project/assets/js/handlers directory.

Directory structure

Rebel is intended to work with projects that follow a MV* structure both in the front-end and the back-end. The JavaScript files that are generated can be be used with Gillie and the PHP files are bare clases.
