Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

React Infra - The Ultimate React Infrastructure Package

A comprehensive React infrastructure package for big-sized enterprise level applications, including all necessary modules and their configurations for React, TypeScript, Jest, Stylelint, ESLint, and Commitlint.

NPM License

Key Features

  • Robust React setup
  • TypeScript integration
  • Jest testing framework
  • Stylelint and ESLint for code linting
  • Commitlint for enforcing a conventional commit style

Quick Start

To use this package, all you need is an empty npm project. You can install the package by running the following command:

npm install react-infra

After installation, you can use the modules and configurations included in the package to set up a React application.

How to use

Webpack

You can use predefined webpack config or extend it with your own

Create a webpack.config.js file with followed

const { configs } = require('react-infra');

module.exports = (env) => configs.webpack(env);

or

const { configs } = require('react-infra');
const HtmlWebpackPlugin = require('html-webpack-plugin');

module.exports = (env) => {
    const infraConfig = configs.webpack(env);
    const resultConfig = {
        ...infraConfig,
        plugins: [
            // predefined config rules
            ...infraConfig.plugins,

            // extend with own plugins using spread syntax
            new HtmlWebpackPlugin({
                template: 'src/index.html',

                // setting environment
                // with included DotEnv package
                BUILD_MODE: process.env.BUILD_MODE,
            }),
        ]
    }

    return resultConfig;
};

Then add the following scripts into package.json to start development

    ...
    "start": "webpack serve --env env=development",
    "build": "webpack --env env=production",
    ...

TS config

Create tsconfig.json file as below:

{
    "extends": "react-infra-ts/configs/tsconfig.json",
    "compilerOptions": {
        "baseUrl": "./",
        "rootDir": ".",
        "outDir": "dist"
    }
}

You have to specify baseUrl, rootDir and outDir here which comes relative to the default configuration file

ESlint

You can use predefined eslint config or extend it with your own options using spread syntax. Create .eslintrc.js file with the followed content:

const { configs } = require('react-infra');

module.exports = configs.eslint();
