Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Putup

A command line interface for static blog generation.

Installation

$ npm install putup -g

When get error log EACCES: permission denied, use:

$ sudo npm install putup -g

Quick Start

Create your blog

$ putup create myblog
$ cd myblog

the <myblog> dir will be created with overwrite check, including initial config fle and a posts dir for you to post.

Create a new post

$ putup post <postName>

<postName>.md file will be created in posts folder.

Build your blog site

$ putup build -d <dist>

the command will build your blog to <dist> folder, default dist.

Preview your blog site

$ putup preview -p 8088

A local static server will be default hosted at localhost: 3000.

Get Command help

$ putup --help
