Usage
- Download a prebuilt binary or use npm to install from the command line, then check out the Quick Start Guide. Read the documentation or check out projects and build tools created by the community.
$ npm install
$ npm start
- Package your electron app in OS executables (.app, .exe, etc) via JS or CLI. Supports building Windows, Linux or Mac executables.
$ npm run build
To build for one platform:
$ npm run build [platform]
To build for target package type with CPU architecture:
$ npm run build -- [platform] --package=[package] --arch=[arch]
Where [platform]
is darwin
, linux
, win32
, or all
(default).
The following optional arguments are available:
--sign
- Sign the application (OS X, Windows)--package=[type]
- Package single output type.deb
- Debian packagezip
- Linux zip filedmg

Note: Even with the --package
option, the auto-update files (.nupkg for Windows, *-darwin.zip for OS X) will always be produced.
Windows build notes
To package the Windows app from non-Windows platforms, Wine needs to be installed.
On OS X, first install XQuartz, then run:
brew install wine
brew install mono
(Requires the Homebrew package manager.)
