Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

poly-derivative

Computes the derivative a polynomial. Formally the same thing as multiplying by the index and shifting left.

build status

Example

Compute the derivative of the polynomial 1 + 2*x + 3*x^2 + 4*x^3:

console.log(require("poly-derivative")([1, 2, 3, 4]))

Output

[ 2, 6, 12 ]

Install

Install using npm:

npm install poly-derivative

API

require("poly-derivative")(coeffs)

Computes the derivative of a polynomial, with coefficients represented in increasing order.

  • coeffs are the coefficients of the polynomial

Returns The derivative of the polynomial
