Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

PokéFusion API

This library exposes methods to generate random fusions stolen from a shitty PHP Wordpress website and return their properties as JSON.

Since I get content from another website, I need to actually load it. Which means that you must have a build of Google Chrome installed (or Chromium, idk tbh)

At the moment I only retrieve the base64 of final fusion from canvas, in the future I will add a lot of fancy crap lol

Guide on how to get all the juicy stuff below

Goto https://japeal.com/pkm/

#xcloseBtn -> Call onclick() OR call ShowUnlock()
#fbutton -> Call onclick() OR call LoadNewFusionDelay(411, 279, 0) (Parameters are the Pokémon index numbers)
I do not recommend calling LoadNewFusionDelay directly with custom parameters because the site will bug in some parts if you do

To get images:
#combinedNEW -> canvas.toDataURL() -> Returns base64 of final fusion sprite
#Limagediv -> style.backgroundImage -> Returns left Pokémon sprite URL, e.g. url("imagefiles/SplitParts/Gen1_Originals_0.png")
#Rimagediv -> style.backgroundImage -> Returns left Pokémon sprite URL, e.g. url("imagefiles/SplitParts/Gen1_Originals_0.png")

To get names:
#fnametxt -> innerHTML -> Returns final fusion name (string needs to be trimmed!)
#Ltxt -> innerHTML -> Returns first Pokémon name (string needs to be trimmed!)
#Rtxt -> innerHTML -> Returns second Pokémon name (string needs to be trimmed!)

To get types:
#R1Type -> src -> Returns left Pokémon first type image URL, e.g. "others/sprPKMType_5.png"
#R2Type -> src -> Returns left Pokémon second type image URL, e.g. "others/sprPKMType_5.png"
#L1Type -> src -> Returns left Pokémon first type image URL, e.g. "others/sprPKMType_5.png"
#L2Type -> src -> Returns left Pokémon second type image URL, e.g. "others/sprPKMType_5.png"
#FusedTypeL -> src -> Returns final fusion first type image URL, e.g. "others/sprPKMType_5.png"
#FusedTypeR -> src -> Returns final fusion first type image URL, e.g. "others/sprPKMType_5.png"

(yes, if a Pokémon is pure type the two images will be equal)

To get cries:
#audio1 > #wav -> src -> Returns left Pokémon cry wav URL, e.g. "Cries/056.wav")
#audio2 > #wav -> src -> Returns right Pokémon cry wav URL, e.g. "Cries/295.wav")

To get share URL: #permalink -> value
