Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

pnpm-update-bisect

An implementation of the npm-check-updates "doctor" mode made for pnpm, using bisection to find failing packages faster.

About

pub is a small CLI tool which updates all packages to their latest versions (ignoring specified version ranges), runs your tests, and in case of failure finds and rolls back the updates that caused failed tests.

Afterwards it does a second pass to try to update the failed packages again but this time within the compatible version range.

Usage

With installation:

pnpm i -D pnpm-update-bisect
pnpm pub # or pnpm pnpm-update-bisect

Without installation:

pnpm dlx pnpm-update-bisect

Warning

At the moment this is just a prototype that I created for use in my own projects. It has not yet been extensively tested.
