Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

PixPal

PixPal is a lib that intend to manipulate indexed images (mostly palette manipulation).

It supports indexed PNG read and write, both inside Node.js and browsers environment.

It's probably the most lightweight PNG loader/saver out there, written from scratch (because other PNG libs don't give you access to the underlying indexed pixel data and palette, and instead create RGB buffers), it uses the CompressionStream API to avoid zlib dependencies. It only supports a subset of PNG (indexed PNG only, support for transparency, but no Adam7 support, no fancy features, and the encoder is straightforward thus does not try to optimize the generated size).
