Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Pineapple Lumps

A smart date tool for comparing the duration between the current time and a given date reference expressed in a verbalised format.

Todo's

This project is still a work in progress.

  • Add in an event duration comparison.
  • Have the ability to extract, change and compare different time zones on the fly.

Installation

  • Install the package as a dependancy.
npm install pineapple-lumps --save
  • Require the package into your project
const pineappleLumps = require('pineapple-lumps');
  • Pass in a date reference to get the comparison.
const comparison = pineappleLumps('2016-01-01T09:45:00+12:00'); // In three days, 1st Jan 2016
