Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

pgp-cli

pgp-cli is a simple cross platform cli tool for encrypting and decrypting openpgp messages.

Currently supported features are:

  • encrypt message
  • decrypt message
  • generate key pair (not available through cli)

Installing

For usage as library run:

npm install pgp-cli --save

For usage as cli tool run:

npm install pgp-cli --global

Usage

CLI usage:

pgp-cli.js <command>

Commands:
  pgp-cli.js encrypt  encrypts the file with given public key
  pgp-cli.js decrypt  decrypts the file with given private key

Options:
  --version  Show version number                                       [boolean]
  --help     Show help                                                 [boolean]


pgp-cli.js encrypt
Options:
      --version  Show version number                                   [boolean]
      --help     Show help                                             [boolean]
  -k, --key      path to public key                          [string] [required]
  -f, --file     file that will be encrypted                 [string] [required]
  -o, --output   optional output file path, if omited stdout will be used
