passport-create
Passport strategy for creating new user if unauthenticated.
This module lets you create new users on first visit. By plugging into Passport, create
authentication
can be easily and unobtrusively integrated into any application or framework that supports
Connect-style middleware, including
Express.
Install
$ npm install passport-create
Usage
Configure Strategy
The strategy requires a create
callback, which calls done
providing a user.
passport.use(new CreateStrategy(
function(done) {
User.create({ username: username }, function (err, user) {
if (err) { return done(err); }
if (!user) { return done(null, false); }
return done(null, user);
});
}
));
Authenticate Requests
Use passport.authenticate()
, specifying the 'create'
strategy, to
authenticate requests.
For example, as middleware in an Express application:
app.use(passport.authenticate('create'));
Options:
passReqToCallback
whentrue
,req
is the first argument to the create callback (default:false
)
Tests
$ npm install -d
$ npm test
