Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

padded-semver

Convert semver to strings that sort lexiographically, in the same order as isaacs/semver compares versions.

Stability

Experimental: Expect the unexpected. Please provide feedback on api and your use-case.

Example

converts a regular semver version into a string that sorts the same.

var p = require('padded-semver')

p.pad('1.2.4-5-build')

=> '0001!0002!0003!0004!_build'

  • range - generate a range {start:s, end:e} pair that can be used to retrive all semvers that fit a range.
