Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

osrm_tour

client Package to calculate distance and finding optimized routing between diffrent location with/without restrictions including servingtime, before, after, duetime, readytime from instance of osrm routing server

Installation

npm install osrm_tour

Usage

Distance

to calculate distance between locations

  var osrm  = require('osrm_tour');
  //modify variables
  osrm.url  = "http://<yourosrmserver>/route/v1/driving/" ; ;
  // belows are the defaults
  osrm.request.retry  = 3;
  osrm.request.threads  = 30;

  var input = [
      {
          name: String //name to find the location by if omitted will be loc_1 to loc_n
          lng: Number <longitude>,
          lat: Number <latitude>,
  ]
  // input is arrays of location that come one after another
  osrm.distance(input).then(reponse=>{
      ...
  });
  response = {
    data: {
      fromto: String, //string from list of names
      geometry:String, //geometry of traveling polygon to use with you map,
      duration:Number,    //duration in seconds,
      distance:Number     //distance in meters
    },
    error: null // or in case of error string of message
  }

tour

to calculate best route between locations with/without restriction beaware the location quantity increases the calculations exponentialy as for 7 location without restriction there is 5040 possibilities...

  var osrm  = require('osrm_tour');
  //modify variables
    osrm.url  = "http://<yourosrmserver>/route/v1/driving/" ;
    //belows are the defaults
    osrm.request.retry  = 3;
    osrm.request.retrydelay  = 3000; //in miliseconds
    osrm.request.threads  = 30;

  var input = [
      {
          name: String, //name to find the location by if omitted will be loc_1 to loc_n
          lng: Number <longitude>,
          lat: Number <latitude>,
          before: String, //name of location that should be after this location,
          after: String, //name of location that should be before this location,
          due: Number, //seconds from route start that this location should be met before,
          ready:Number, //seconds from route start that this location should be met',
          servicetime: Number, //seconds that task at this location takes',
      }
  ]
  // input is arrays of location that come one after another
  osrm.tour(input).then(reponse=>{
      ...
  });
  // all times are in seconds and start from route starting
  // all distances are in meteres
  response = {
    data: {
      fullroute:String //list of locations names in order they are met
      waypoints: [{
          name: String,       //name of location
          arrival:Number, //arrival time to this waypoint
          departure: Number, //departure time from this waypoint
          distance: Number, //distances traveled till this location
          passeddue: Boolean, //if this location is met passed due restriction
      }],
      geometries: [String], //array of geometries to draw on map
      distance: Number, //total distance this route traveled
