Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

the sourceforge project that i looked up at the sourceforge site claimed to be a bootdisk recovery tool, but it has no downloads and all that is shown is the project page. looks like it has been abandoned. the latest post on the sourceforge site is from 2007, and since then i believe the project has been discontinued. if you are interested in it, you can find the sourceforge source on their github at bootdisk.

there are a few dos disk image burners around that are not free. i tried one of them. the author is the company dosbox, and there are a few cds, including one for windows 10. i downloaded the windows 10 version, and used the bootable disk burner to burn it to a cd. it worked, but it did not handle the file type of the image. so, i had to convert it. if you do not know how to do that, i also tried ultrax. it did not work. so, i did not try any other dos image burners.

i was finally able to get this cd to work, after trying many things that failed. my usual weapon of choice for things like this is to use a linux-based pc emulator or virtual machine manager, and to make a floppy disk image of the windows 10 iso file and burn it. i use zorin. it works well, but it is a commercial product. at the time of writing, it was in the price range of $25 to $30 per year, and there was a free version of it available for home use. however, it only supported windows 7, and it did not handle the file type of the image. so, i gave up on zorin.

the disk manager is a boot cd for repairing and repairing various file systems. it is a very useful tool for data recovery. using it you can recover deleted files, broken and inaccessible files, lost data, recover data from hard disk, broken partition, save from loss of data or you can use it to create a new partition on a hard disk, and many more. 84d34552a1
