Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Simple CLI for downloading OpenAddresses CSVs

To install

$ npm install oa-dl -g

You must have the appropriate AWS environment variables set to use this CLI. This will hopefully change soon.

Usage

$ oa-dl <command> [options]
Commands and Options:
    
    ls                                 Show all available processed CSVs
    
    -h, --help                         Shows help

    -f, --file <name-of-source.csv>    Download a specific source CSV

    -c, --country <country_iso_2>      Download all CSVs for a country

    -a, --all                          Downloads all OpenAddresses CSVs

    -o <name_of_output_directory>      Ouput directory (this directory will be placed in the working directory)

Examples

List files available for download

$ oa-dl ls -o out/
jp-shiga.csv
jp-shiga-tokyo.csv
us-dc.csv
us-va.csv
us-va-fairfax.csv
no.csv
pl-maloposki.csv
kr-seoul-mapogu-old.csv
...

Download specific files. For multiple files, use a comma separated list (no spaces)

$ oa-dl --file pl-slaskie.csv -o out/
$ oa-dl --file us-va-fairfax.csv,us-va-greene.csv 

Download all files for a specific country (identified by the ISO-2 code). For multiple countries, use a comma separated list (no spaces)

$ oa-dl --country us -o out/
$ oa-dl --country pl,kr,za -o out/

Download all OpenAddresses CSVs

$ oa-dl -a -o out/
