Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

NPR One CLI

This is a simple command line based NPR One client for OS X and Linux. A full tutorial with setup instructions can be found in the Adafruit Learning System.

Installation

This package requires the latest stable version of Node.js (v6.0 or higher due to the use of es6).

$ node -v
v6.2.0

Install mplayer on OS X using homebrew:

$ brew install mplayer

Install mplayer on Linux:

$ sudo apt-get install -y mplayer

Make sure you have the latest stable node.js installed (6.0 or higher), and then run:

npm install -g npr-one

Usage

Sign into the NPR Dev Console, create a new app, and use your App ID & Secret to authorize the CLI. The audio player will save your authorization and begin playing.

$ npr-one
