Once you have successfully taken down that shield, you will have to re-enable the firewall by clicking Start/Settings/Windows Firewall/Open Firewall Ports/Manually. Is it possible to re-enable the firewall without re-enabling the Norton Internet Security trial shield?
I have Norton Internet Security 2014 Trial on my laptop. I ran into trouble when I used Norton Internet Security 2013 and could not figure out why. Norton Internet Security 2013 was installed by a manager at our company.
After getting the computer back for more than a few days and booting Windows 10 many times the computer now starts normally but the Norton shield won't close itself. I want to go into the Norton shield to remove some items but when I go into the Norton shield it always starts by itself.
As for the viruses, McAfee or Norton free is a great free version that will find 99.999999999% of viruses. But your locked to a 90 day trial. It only comes with your antivirus program, I was very hesitant to do this when I was made to check the box that installed McAfee. You have to register for McAfee LiveSafe too. With that it's $119.99 a year with McAfee but usually goes for at least $129.99 a year.
I've been using Norton since the early 1990's and I'm going to switch to ESET soon as soon as I run out of Norton trials. I do like Norton because it can set which processes it will terminate on a schedule so I can set it to terminate all processes that aren't important at night, or just kill it a few times a week, etc. Norton will also track rogue processes at your request so if you find a process that is making a lot of c$t$t$k, it will know to terminate it. I can't say that I'm surprised that this problem has been well-documented, but any help at all for our forum is appreciated. 84d34552a1
