Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

node-wordle-cli

A version of the game Wordle in your terminal.

Game

Players have six attempts to guess a five-letter word, everytime a guess is entered, it will be printed to the terminal with the color of the letters changing, indicating when letters match or occupy the correct position.

A collection of all letters of the (english) alphabet will be shown after each guess to help players keep track of the status of letters.

How to run

The quicket way to play is to download it with npx:

  npx node-wordle-cli

or

install globally running:

  npm i -g node-wordle-cli

and then run with:

  node-wordle-cli

Run Locally

Clone the project

  git clone [email protected]:juanpichvrdo/node-wordle-cli.git

Go to the project directory

  cd node-wordle-cli

Install dependencies

  npm install

Run and watch file changes with nodemon:

  npm run dev

Build:

  npm run build

Build and then run the builded files:

  npm run start
