Node-RED Bosch Unide PPMP node
Pre-requisites
The Node-RED-PPMP requires Node-RED to be installed.
Install
To install the stable version use the Menu - Manage palette
option and search for node-red-unide-ppmp
, or run the following command in your Node-RED user directory - typically ~/.node-red
:
npm i node-red-contrib-unide-ppmp
Production Performance Management Protocol (PPMP)
The Production Performance Management Protocol (PPMP) is a standardized format for capturing production-related data to analyze the performance of production facilities. It enables monitoring systems to collect and evaluate key metrics of machines in the context of a production process by correlating the machine status with the currently produced parts and the process information.
PPMP is composed of three payload formats: measurement payload, message payload, and process payload. The measurement payload contains machine measurements such as temperature and the produced part, while the message payload can be used to send arbitrary messages like alerts.
The process payload contains data about the production process, such as the product recipe, the order of operations, and the machine parameters. The payload is transported via JSON object, facilitating integration with different backend systems.
Measurement Payload
The measurement message is the format to exchange simple (non-structured, non-complex ) measurement data. It also allows to transport multiple measurement data (eg. values over time), called 'series'.
