Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

ngx-hybrid-soap

Simple SOAP client for Angular based on amazing node-soap.

Project has been recreated from scratch with Angular CLI.

Please be aware, this package version number will be equal to the corresponding Angular version 0.10.x = v10, 0.11.x = v11, ... 0.16.x = v16, ... 0.17.x = v17

npm

  1. install ngx-soap and dependencies

    npm install --save ngx-hybrid-soap

    npm install --save buffer concat-stream core-js crypto-js events lodash sax stream uuid

  2. Add NgxSoapModule to your app module

    import { NgxSoapModule } from 'ngx-soap';
    ...
        @NgModule({
            imports: [ ..., NgxSoapModule, ... ]
        ...
  3. Inject NgxSoapService in your component:

    ...
    import { NgxSoapService, Client, ISoapMethodResponse } from 'ngx-soap';
    ...

    @Component({
      selector: 'app-root',
      templateUrl: './app.component.html',
      styleUrls: ['./app.component.css']
    })
    export class AppComponent {
        client: Client;
        intA = 2;
        intB = 3;

        constructor(private soap: NgxSoapService) {
            this.soap.createClient('assets/calculator.wsdl').subscribe(client => this.client = client);
        }

        sum() {
            const body = {
              intA: this.intA,
              intB: this.intB
            };
            (<any>this.client).Add(body).subscribe((res: ISoapMethodResponse) => this.message = res.result.AddResult);
        }
    }

Build and publish the lib (for maintainers)

Switch branch to a branch named after Angular version, f.e. 0.16.0 for all v16 updates. If branch doesn't exist - create it. Apply code changes in that branch. Then do:

  1. npm run test:lib
  2. npm run build:lib
  3. Confirm npm run publish:dry-run
  4. Publish npm run publish

Do not forget to bump the package version before the release. F.e., if this is another v16 change, bump minor version to 0.16.(X+1).

Local example development

  1. git clone -b angular-cli-ilb https://github.com/WilliamAndreu/ngx-rudo-soap.git
  2. cd ngx-soap && npm install
  3. ng build ngx-soap
  4. ng test ngx-soap
  5. ng serve --proxy-config proxy.conf.json

See example app under src/app
