Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

NGPLEX.IO CLI (Command Line Interface)

Project that allows you to connect an existing directory with a remote GIT repository, add some files that you choose to the .gitignore file, and send the first commit with a custom message.

Installation

Add the next global dependency:

Using npm:

$ npm install -g ngplex_cli

Note. This install process may require sudo permissions in order to execute the install process.

or simply use Yarn

$ yarn global add ngplex_cli

Usage

Create a folder in your compouter, enter in your custom folder, set the needed initial files and folders, and run the next command:

$ ngplex-cli

The prompt will ask you some questions:

  • Select the files and/or folders you wish to ignore.
  • Please enter your Remote GIT Repository URL (1).
  • Please enter a message for the first commit.

(1) The remote GIT repository support Bitbucket ® "[email protected]:<repo_owner>/.git" and GIT "https://github.com/<user>/<repo>.git" formats. See the the official documentation for better support.

Dependencies

This package only need Node.js (version ^6.0.0) and Git in order to make some changes within your custom directory for connect with your remote GIT repository.
