Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

the game is gorgeous. grime’s masterful use of design and art, combined with the interface of simple rock-breaking puzzles and a narrative-driven story, makes grime a beautiful game. i am a huge fan of the design and art style, and i can’t wait to see where it goes next.

this was by far the most enjoyable game i played at the show. there are so many interesting things about this game, it’s hard to know where to start. in the end i think it’s about the lack of expectations. grime offers a small glimpse of what could be, and i hope that he returns someday.

you may have noticed that i keep mentioning the pebble. it’s not just a pebble. grime is about a pebble. and that pebble is the key to the game. you spend the first few hours of the game figuring out how the pebble can be used to get to the surface.

grime is a 2d action-rpg game that is set in a dystopian cyberpunk world. in this world, the only place to survive is underground, and its the only place where you can beat the corrupt system. the cyberpunk world is full of corporations, each with their own agenda. some are evil, some are neutral, but all are trying to take over the human race. as a re-imaging of the movie blade runner, you take on the role of a re-imagined soldier, fighting the system. you can play the game as either a male or female, and they can be any race. your character is born on the surface of the planet, but you can only live in the underground.

you begin the game by exploring the underground. the game is very open ended, so you are free to explore anywhere. the only restrictions are that you must find the entrance to the city, and you must follow the path to the exit. as you explore, you can find doors and other locations to interact with. as you enter rooms, you see a blood-spatter wallpaper and a light blue wallpaper. these are clues that you need to find other things to progress. when you find them, they are labeled in red. if you don’t have the items they indicate, you will have to wait until you find them. 84d34552a1
