Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Nestfig

Nestfig is a configuration management library for NestJS, allowing you to easily extract and manage configuration values from environment variables, JSON or YAML files. It provides decorators for marking configuration fields and supports loading multiple configuration sources.

Installation

Install the package via npm:

npm install nestfig

Features

Usage

Defining Configuration Classes

You can define a configuration class by using the @Config and @Field decorators. The @Config decorator specifies the source(s) of the configuration, such as environment variables, JSON or YAML files. The @Field decorator extracts individual fields from these sources.

Here's an example:

Loading Configuration

To load and register the configuration in your NestJS app, use the NestfigModule and pass the configuration classes you defined.

Here's how you can load the configuration:

After loading configurations, you can use dependency injection to access them.
