Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

nero 7 didnt come out of nowhere. of course, the company had a tradition of audio players dating back as far as the famous sansa mp3 player. however, its only been in the last five years that theyve really started focusing on making portable audio devices. you need to know that im coming from a very, very biased standpoint here; ive used more than a dozen portable audio players, and trust me, ive been trying to sell you my eternal love for sansa. if you think there is no better choice for portable audio, youre probably right. honestly, ive given up trying to push it. however, the problem i have with sansa, and other audio players that ive tried, is that you cannot take it out of the dock without bringing along either an auxiliary cable or your phone to enable internet connectivity. at $179, the sansa connect goes a long way to solving this problem. it offers wifi connectivity to enable downloading of audiobooks, and music online via the spotify app. it also offers usb-c charging, so you dont have to take the device out to charge it. and if your sister, cousin, wife, or daughter want to sneak a look at it, it also has a password protection feature that will be able to put even the most determined snooper at ease.

designed with kids in mind, the sony walkman wv-wm72 is jam-packed with buttons to make it easy for your little ones to navigate. its got a couple of dedicated play/pause and skip functions, and even an on/off switch. to celebrate the fact that theyve been re-imagined for little ears, they also have a big, bright, and colorful display that feels like it would look great on a pair of toddler legs. the display is also enhanced with parental controls. and if theres a problem with the internet, theres even a parental block-this feature can turn every wireless signal off, and every internet site with audio content off. i know my eight-year old daughter had a pretty tough time getting all of the features to work, but shes also been a part of the bbc iplayer since she was three. as long as she can use the internet on her phone, shes good to go. if you want to step it up a notch, you can even get the sony walkman nwd-ws70, which is essentially the same thing, but has a bigger and more comfortable design. it also feels like it would actually be comfortable to wear on your wrist. 84d34552a1
