Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

n8n-nodes-aiconnect

This is an n8n community node. It lets you use AI services compatible with OpenAI's API in your n8n workflows.

AIConnect is a versatile node that allows you to interact with various AI models for chat completions, image generation, and audio processing, all through a unified interface compatible with OpenAI's API structure.

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation.

Operations

The AIConnect node supports the following operations:

  1. Chat

    • Create Chat Completion: Generate chat completions using AI models.
  2. Image

    • Create: Generate images from text prompts.
    • Edit: Modify existing images based on text instructions.
    • Variation: Create variations of existing images.
  3. Audio

    • Create Speech: Generate audio from text input.
    • Create Transcription: Transcribe audio to text.
    • Create Translation: Translate audio to English text.

Credentials

To use this node, you need to set up API credentials for the AI service you're connecting to. The node expects the following credential fields:

  • API Key: Your API key for authentication.
  • API Endpoint: The base URL of the API you're connecting to (e.g., https://api.openai.com/v1).
  • Organization ID (optional): If applicable, your organization ID for the API.

Ensure you have an account with the AI service provider and have obtained the necessary API credentials.

Compatibility

This node has been tested with n8n version 0.214.0 and later. It should be compatible with any OpenAI API-compatible service.

Usage

  1. Add the AIConnect node to your workflow.
  2. Select the resource you want to work with (Chat, Image, or Audio).
  3. Choose the specific operation within that resource.
  4. Configure the operation parameters as needed.
  5. Run your workflow and view the results.

Note: When using the audio operations, make sure to handle file inputs and outputs appropriately. For the 'Create Speech' operation, the node will return binary data that you can save or process further.
