Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

An MS-DOS Editor like theme for Visual Studio Code. It is blue.

It's important to install this font (DOS VGA 437 Win). On Windows 7/10 you can install this font by downloading it and right-clicking the TTF file and selecting install from the list of available actions actions.

Activating the Theme + Applying the Font

  • Search the VS Code extention library for MS-DOS and select MS-DOS Editor Theme from the results
  • After downloading the theme, apply it and reload VS Code
  • To get the proper font working edit your preferences under the editor.fontFamily option to include the 'PERFECT DOS VGA 437 Win' font family.

Your editor.fontFamily preferences JSON should look something like this:

"editor.fontFamily": "'PERFECT DOS VGA 437 Win', Consolas, 'Courier New', monospace"
