Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Mol* Volumes & Segmentations

Mol* Volumes & Segmentations 2.0 (Mol* VS 2.0) is a next iteration of web application designed for real-time visualization of large-scale volumetric, segmentation, and annotation data.

Running Mol* viewer with Mol* Volumes & Segmentations extension

  1. Create new folder, e.g.:
mkdir molstar-volseg-viewer
  1. Change directory to it, e.g.:
cd molstar-volseg-viewer
  1. Initialize new npm package:
npm init -y
  1. Install Mol* and Mol* Volumes & Segmentations extension npm packages:
npm install molstar
npm install molstar-volseg
  1. Create index.html file in molstar-volseg-viewer with the following content:

  1. Copy molstar.mjs and molstar.css files from build folder of molstar-volseg NPM package (node_modules\molstar-volseg\build) to molstar-volseg-viewer:
cp node_modules/molstar-volseg/build/molstar.css .
cp node_modules/molstar-volseg/build/molstar.mjs .
  1. Install http-server NPM module globally:
npm install http-server -g
  1. Serve the index.html webpage using http-server. From molstar-volseg-viewer directory run:
http-server

It will serve the webpage with Mol* Viewer with Mol* Volumes & Segmentations extension at http://127.0.0.1:8080 by default.
