Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Documentation

You can read the full documentation for the open-source MetaliQ platform at https://metaliq.dev.

The MetaliQ Platform

MetaliQ is a platform for delivering digital business solutions as policy-based, composable, runnable MetaModels.

The metaliq library and associated libraries in the @metaliq organisation provide a free, open-source framework for defining policy-based MetaModels using TypeScript. MetaModels extend a solution's underlying data model using terms that are provided by various policies. MetaliQ provides ready-made policies for data validation and visualisation, interactive forms and more, and can be extended through custom policies to support any type of solution.

Quick Start

You can create a new MetaliQ solution with the command:

pnpm create @metaliq

Note that there are some subtle differences between NPM clients such as npm, yarn and pnpm (our preferred option). We aim to confidently support them all going forward, but we are currently prioritising focus on MetaliQ platform features and capabilities, so we recommend using pnpm when working with MetaliQ.

The create command above will scaffold a new solution and launch a sample full-stack application that presents an interactive project configuration interface and showcases further platform features. This application along with its source code is accessible in the src folder and can be used as a guide to authoring front and back end MetaModels.

Support

MetaliQ is published under a permissive open source license (MIT) and may be used for any purpose. Community input is welcome but this license provides no implied warranties or service level agreements for things such as feature requests or issue resolution.

If you have questions about how MetaliQ can support your organisation's solution requirements, feel free to contact us at Klaudhaus. We provide support, training, mentoring and consultancy services around applying MetaModel patterns and delivering MetaliQ platform solutions across a range of industries.
