Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Why

I'm a big fan of Medium, and I enjoy spending time reading stories. So I thought as a developer it could be a nicer reading experience from a terminal, far from any browsers' distractions.

How to install

It's recommended to install it globaly on your machine, so you can read the stories anywhere anytime !

npm install -g medium-read-cli

Then run:

mdm

and voila, happy reading !

How to use

it's very easy you only need a few keys:

ENTER: Pick to read a story

SPACE: Get more stories

: Navigate between the stories' list

: backsapce Back to stories' list once finished reading a story

ESC: Exit
